The Book of Kells was written around the year 800 A.D. and is one of the most beautifully illuminated manuscripts in the world. It contains the four Gospels written in Latin on vellum paper and contains full pages featuring magnificent and intricate decorative designs.

Christians, as early as the 4th century. The type of knot that we use is called a chain stitch, and it is appreciated by bookmakers and booklovers alike for its intricate beauty. The smooth cream stock used in all of our handstitched journals is a very lovely 80 pound sheet. With a very high opacityrating, it has little show through no matter what ink you choose to use. Archival quality and acid free, it contains more than 50% post-consumer waste. The journals have a memento pouch mounted on the inside of the back cover.
